It's surprisingly hard to find a good sausage sandwich in the morning that meets all my criteria - taste, texture, price, satisfaction of purchase, distance from work. Clearly this is a very important issue that needs addressing, so I shall be keeping a record of my future sausage sandwich purchases.
Today I stopped at Make Mine on Regent Street having been enticed by their offer of a DIY sandwich chalked on a board outside their establishment. I was most impressed by their sandwich configuration options, but for you dear readers I stuck true to my quest. The service was very quick, it was a good price at £1.80 and on my regular route to work. Best of all it came in a very satisfying thick foil wrapper.
Upon unwrapping I was most pleased at the amount of sausage I got for my money and happy that they were of that dense type that isn't full of rusk and fat as is so popular with many a greasy spoon (what kind of sausages are either of those, anyone?). The bread was also slightly toasted and unbuttered. I'm usually a bit wary of toasted bread in a sandwich, but was pleasantly surprised to find it was soft to the bite.

Overall I'm going to give this an 7/10.
I'd just like to add that I'll be using the same sauce each time- Stokes Real Brown Sauce. Mmm.
